Hi, my name is Bill Walker and I’m an Independent Publishing Coach and Book Production Specialist. I work with authors that want to take control of their writing career and need some guidance.
No matter what field you’re in, the principles of coaching remain the same.
In that respect, a Publishing Coach is very similar to a Football coach. In football, the coach pushes their players to achieve optimum performance, provides support when they are exhausted and teaches them to execute plays that their competition does not anticipate.
A football coach will make you run more laps and make you worker harder than you would on your own, even when you don’t feel like it. A football coach tells it like it is and the players listen.
Fortunately, a Publishing Coach does many of the same things, but in a way that is focused on creating a successful book.
My role as a Publishing Coach is to guide the author through the entire process of writing his/her book, assist in preparing it for publication, printing, and distribution; in addition to providing support, accountability and encouragement.
As a publishing coach I also help authors define their publishing objective, write marketing and action plans, and so much more. Most importantly, just like a football coach, I will make you focus on the game.
We are in the middle of a publishing revolution. Technology has put the power of publishing and distribution into the hands of anyone that desires to write, publish & distribute a book. This is an exciting time to be an author. There has never been a better opportunity for you to get your book into the hands of your fans. The internet has leveled the production and distribution playing field. The big publishing houses no longer control which books the public is exposed to.
